Overview

Able to accommodate some of the largest power wheelchairs and scooters, the MV-1 has enough interior space for up to 6 adults, including up to two standard wheelchairs. The MV-1 is the first and only vehicle that is purpose-built to meet or exceed ADA guidelines without any expensive aftermarket conversions or retrofits.

Entry and Exit

Entering and exiting the MV-1 is easy thanks to its proprietary ramp system, custom designed to exceed ADA guidelines. With a ramp width of 30.5” (vs. ADA guideline of 30”), the MV-1 makes vehicle entry and exit easy for even larger power wheelchairs and scooters. In addition, the ramp’s standard slope of 4:1 for the manual ramp, with even flatter 4.4:1 and 6:1 options in the powered version, facilitate ease of entry and exit even for manual wheelchairs.

To add further confidence in entering the vehicle, the MV-1’s door opening also meets or exceeds ADA guidelines with a width of 36” (vs. ADA guideline of 30”) and height of 56” (meeting ADA guideline).

Interior

Upon entering the vehicle, the spacious interior allows for effortless turning and securing of the wheelchair in the passenger area. In maximizing that interior space the MV-1’s proprietary ramp has been engineered to store and deploy from under the vehicle floor. This unique design enables the interior space to be unhindered by the ramp. With an interior height of 59.5” and floor space of up to 36” wide by 81.5” long, there’s plenty of room to comfortably maneuver without bumping your head or banging your wheelchair.

In addition, the MV-1 offers 10 universal floor tracks in the passenger area for flexible wheelchair or scooter securing, accommodating different sizes of wheelchairs and scooters in various locations depending on a person’s preference. To add to the adaptability of the vehicle, those tracks can be used with any industry standard restraint system (e.g. Q-straint).
